CNPC TechTree Platform – User Agreement & Disclaimer

By accessing and using the CNPC TechTree Digital Platform (“TechTree”), you agree to the following terms and conditions regarding the use, protection, and sharing of data, content, and intellectual property.

1. Confidentiality & Data Classification

  • Users must respect and protect all content classified as Confidential, Internal Use Only, or Restricted, in accordance with CNPC’s internal data governance policies.
  • Uploading or sharing of confidential field data, technical reports, or proprietary analyses must be authorized by the relevant department or project owner.
  • Unauthorized disclosure or transmission of any sensitive information outside approved project spaces or user groups is strictly prohibited.

2. Proprietary & Intellectual Property Rights

  • All content developed, uploaded, or shared on TechTree—including but not limited to technical documents, workflows, datasets, software code, presentations, and AI-generated results—shall remain the property of the original authoring organization or individual, unless otherwise agreed.
  • By contributing content, users grant CNPC a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, index, and use the content for internal collaboration and innovation purposes.
  • Third-party proprietary content (e.g., vendor software manuals, external datasets) may not be uploaded unless proper licensing or written permission is obtained.

3. Copyright Compliance

  • Users must not upload, share, or reproduce any copyrighted material—such as journal articles, books, commercial datasets, or software—without express permission or proof of license.
  • TechTree may implement copyright scanning tools and watermark tracking to detect and prevent unauthorized use.
  • CNPC reserves the right to remove any content suspected of infringing upon third-party intellectual property and may take disciplinary or legal action if necessary.

4. User Responsibility & Access Control

  • Each user is responsible for the security of their account and the appropriate classification of any data they upload or share.
  • Users shall not misuse administrative privileges or access information outside their authorized project or role.
  • Activity logs may be audited to ensure compliance and investigate suspected misuse.

5. Platform Disclaimer

  • TechTree is intended as an internal collaboration and knowledge-sharing tool. While the platform implements robust security protocols, CNPC does not guarantee the completeness, accuracy, or error-free nature of any user-submitted content.
  • AI-generated results (e.g., GPT-assisted answers) are provided for reference only and must be validated before being used in any operational or technical decision-making.

6. Violations & Enforcement

  • Any user found in violation of this agreement may face:
    • Revocation of TechTree access
    • Internal disciplinary measures
    • Legal consequences in accordance with CNPC’s compliance and IP protection policies

7. Acknowledgment

By continuing to use TechTree, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to comply with the above terms and CNPC’s data and intellectual property protection policies.
